Where is the Columbus ACLS recertification valid?
Our certifications are accepted nationwide throughout the United States. We also have many customers throughout the world who have successfully used our courses for their emergency education needs. Your certificate will be valid for 2 years from the date you passed the exam.
What should I do if my PALS certificate is already expired?
If you feel comfortable with the PALS material, including the latest 2020 updates, then you can enroll in our Columbus PALS recertification course. If you’d like more study material and a more involved exam, you can enroll in our PALS certification course.
When were the last Columbus BLS course updates?
Our BLS course follows 2020 American Heart Association Guidelines for CPR and ECC.

Critical care providers should know
The Columbus Department of Health released an annual report in 2010 which describes the overall health of the community and several initiatives the city has in place. Strong efforts to educate the public on vaccines were a success as were efforts to combat childhood obesity and chronic diseases. One of the diseases highlighted in the report was Pertussis which has steadily been on the rise in Columbus since the spring of 2010. The city diagnosed more than 960 cases which was a 25-year high.
Other health initiatives the city established include a 2007 ban on smoking in public places and restaurants, a joint effort to work with the local restaurant industry to combat obesity and educate citizens on eating healthy, and the department of health regularly runs emergency preparedness exercises (15 exercises in 2010). The department also provides flu immunization shots to anyone who walked through their office doors and at local schools. In total the city gives over 26,000 immunizations yearly.

About Columbus
The city of Columbus was founded in 1812 and is the capital of the state of Ohio. It is located along the northern Canadian-U.S. border and has one of the frozen climates in the nation. In the summer months it can be very warm, but it also enjoys a longer winter with a lot of ice and snow.
The most popular destination for visitors is the Arena District. This is a newer renovation to the city which continues to expand and change yearly. It offers some of the more luxurious accommodation options, fine dining restaurants, and a variety of venues for sporting events, concerts, and other forms of live entertainment.
A long-standing attraction is the Columbus Zoo, which is home of famous Jack Hannah. Besides natural animal habitats, this zoo is designed with diverse other attractions, an aquarium, beautiful spots for doing picnics, and well arranged gardens. It brings in millions of tourists every year.
For those who are visiting with children or who enjoy exploring science and learning, the COSI Museum is a must-see. It offers a lot of of hands-on science exhibits designed to entertain and educate kids as well as adults. It is a regular attraction for local schools as well as visitors to the city.
There is also a thriving arts community in the downtown area, which draws in many locals and tourists alike who enjoy browsing through the large variety of galleries.
Also, Columbus is home to the Ohio State University which has a massive followers for their college football team, the Buckeyes.
