Will you be offering Denver ACLS discounts any time soon?

Is there a PALS learning center in Denver?
Currently there is not a Denver PALS center but you can study for the PALS and take the Denver PALS certification online by using our service.
When will I receive my hard copy BLS certificate?
We ship requested hard copy certificates the following day and they should arrive at your house within 3–5 business days from the date of shipment. If you need a Denver BLS rushed to you please let us know, as we also offer express shipping and international shipping options. Hard-copy certificates are shipped only if requested.

The Denver Community Health Service has received several awards including the 2011 Shingo Bronze Medallion for Operational Excellence and the 2006 Ernest J. Codman Award for Immunization Excellence. The vision of the DCHS is to provide superior community centered health care in the nation. They offer an online health library with information on health related topics from acne to chronic diseases.
Health risk factors of Denver County include a 5% diabetes rate, obesity 16%, high blood pressure 20%, 21% smoke cigarettes or use tobacco. Denver residents are active and get good exercise. 88% of adults report getting the proper amount of daily physical activity.
Because only 76% of Denver residents report eating healthy and to combat diabetes and obesity the city took a closer look at the access to health foods in A Grocery Initiative Report. The report recommends policy solutions to improve access to grocery stores and healthy food options and is operated by the Denver Food Access Task Force, the Denver Healthy People Program (EDH), and Colorado Health Foundation.

About Denver
Denver was founded in 1858 and officially incorporated into the state of Colorado just a few years later in 1861. It sits near the Rocky Mountains and is the capital of the state. The city is well known for its cold climate and tremendous amount of snowfall throughout the year. Its summer season is rather short compared to most other regions in the country.
Due to this climate, Colorado is a prime destination for skiers and other travelers who enjoy winter sports. The city has many resorts decked with slopes, just waiting to accommodate the beginner as well professional level skiers, snowboarders, and other snow lovers in general.
Yet, there is a lot more to this state than the wintry snow. During the short warmer season, there are beautiful mountains to explore either on foot or riding a mountain bike. There are also a variety of sand dunes and hot springs scattered throughout state parks that are very breathtaking and relaxing.
There are also some very luxurious spas and resorts located here, offering a lot of indulging and sheer relaxation all year round. Whether you go while the snow is thick and enjoy a massage and facial after a long day of skiing the slopes or go exclusively to be pampered around the clock, some of the resorts in the city are the best and they can be found anywhere.

February 11, 2024 — Colorado man’s viral health scare sparks CPR awareness campaign
A Colorado resident is on a mission to raise awareness about heart health and the importance of CPR after a video of his health scare went viral. Mark Reynolds, a fitness buff and UFC gym proprietor in Lone Tree, has been weightlifting for years. Despite feeling invincible, he found himself in a dire situation last November when he collapsed from cardiac arrest during a workout session. Thanks to quick-thinking bystanders, including one unidentified individual, Reynolds received CPR and three shocks from an AED, ultimately saving his life. Now recovered, Reynolds aims to express his gratitude and advocate for widespread CPR education and AED availability.

February 2, 2024 — Nurses save friend’s life during shopping trip
A routine shopping trip with friends almost turned deadly for one woman, but quick action and medical expertise saved her life. Cori Holloway, critical care director at St. Mary’s Hospital, and Robyn Morgan, medical imaging leader at Saint Joseph Hospital, sprang into action when Morgan collapsed. “We knew we had to act fast,” said Holloway. “She wouldn’t have made it otherwise.” Morgan, who had gone into cardiac arrest, was saved by CPR performed by Holloway and Ariana Stemple, an ED observation nurse manager. “I’m very grateful,” said Morgan, who is still recovering from a skull fracture caused by her fall. The incident solidified their friendship. “I think it’s going to be lifelong,” said Stemple. The trio emphasizes the importance of knowing CPR, as it can save lives in critical moments.
